Alan is General Manager for CAES’ Missile Systems Division. In this role, Alan is responsible for the overall performance of the Division, including facilities in San Jose, CA and Colorado Springs, CO. Alan has worked over 30 years at CAES and its legacy companies, with his previous roles including Guided Munitions Product Line Vice President and Director of Program Management.

Alan began his career at Watkins-Johnson Company as a mechanical engineer and was promoted to a number of roles within the company including management of the Mechanical Engineering and Process Engineering group and directing operations for the Stellex Broadband Wireless Department at the Stellex Microwave Systems.

Alan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.

Dr. Larry Scally is CAES APD’s Vice President of Advanced Programs. Most recently, he was CEI’s Co-founder, President and Chief Technology Officer. Dr. Scally has diverse systems, hardware, firmware and software experience in radar, communication, EW and SIGINT in the areas of electromagnetics, antenna design, RF design, DSP and high performance processing. He spent five years on Kwajalein upgrading, maintaining and operating the TRADEX L/S band radar. He co-founded Catalina Research in 1990 and served as President and CTO. Dr. Scally earned a Ph.D.E.E in Electromagnetics/Remote Sensing from the University of Colorado Boulder, and Master of Business Administration, Master of Electrical Engineering and Bachelor in Electrical Engineering degrees from Villanova University.

Michael J. Bonato is CAES APD’s Vice President of Program Management. He was previously CEI’s Vice President of Advanced Systems. His background includes management of advanced technology development programs and general business operations with systems engineering experience in radar, –INT, and digital signal processing applications. He earned an MBA (Finance) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
